Hudson River Rafting Co.
One of the top ten rivers in the east, the Hudson River Gorge is a 17-mile trip with class III and IV whitewater. With dam releases all three seasons, this beautiful full-day trip is a favorite spring, summer and fall activity. Rapids like Blue Ledges, the Narrows, Mile Long, Kettle Mt. and Harris Rift are a source of great stories at day’s end. The Hudson offers unsurpassed beauty – people cannot believe it’s the same river that flows into New York Harbor!
Located in the Lake George/Saratoga region, the Sacandaga River is a family favorite and an adventure for all river lovers. You can tube the “Sac” and Lower Hudson River Gorge or boost the challenge in a ducky or sit-on-top. The Sacandaga, Nature’s Water Park, has a daily dam release so we tube six times a day, all summer long.
The Black River Canyon, located in the 1000 Islands region, has swirling wild whitewater from mid-May until Columbus Day. During the 2 1/2 hour trip from Watertown to Brownsville you’ll paddle Class III and IV rapids by old dam sites, factory ruins and rock formations. Dam releases throughout the summer guarantee warm rafting into the fall.
Whatever you choose, you’re guaranteed fun and thrills with Hudson River Rafting Company, one of the first companies to tame the mighty Hudson River Gorge in North Creek back in 1979. Now offering rafting trips on other NY rivers in addition to the Hudson: the Sacandaga and Lower Hudson Rivers in Lake Luzerne, Black River Canyon in Watertown and Moose River in Old Forge ( Spring). See you on the river!
