Enjoy the beginning of the 2013 Fall season in the Lake George, New York region! Mid September is a wonderful time of year to visit, as there are so many events and activities for you to come and experience.
Of the many annual events, there is the ever popular Lake George Jazz Festival in the village of Lake George, celebrating its 30th anniversary (September 14-15, 2013). Listen to established and emerging jazz musicians in the Shepard Park amphitheater with the beautiful lake as the backdrop. Performances are 1PM, 2:30PM, and 4:15PM on Saturday and Sunday, with a special 7:30PM Saturday evening show that is followed by fireworks over the lake. Presented by the Lake George Arts Project.
New this year is a special North Creek event: Teddy Roosevelt Rides Again (September 13-15, 2013). A weekend that commemorates Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President of the United States, and his connection with North Creek’s history. Partake in the many festivities featuring train rides (including a special Leviathan Train excursion with Teddy Roosevelt), history talks, entertainment, historic crafts, demonstrations, food and much more. Other spectacular events happening during the September 13-15, 2013 weekend include: the Irish 2000 Festival in Ballston Spa, Arts & Arrows (a medieval arts event) at Little Theater on the Farm in Fort Edward, Salem’s 6th Annual Harvest Fest, Tour Thurman: A Guided Jaunt Into Homes & History, Brown’s Raid Re-enactment at Fort Ticonderoga, the Lake George In-Water Boat Show on Beach Road, the Rustic Furniture Fair at the Adirondack Museum, the Adirondack Legends Folk Festival in Bolton Landing, and much more.
During the week of September 15-21, 2013, the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring their 7th Annual Lake George Region Restaurant Week with 15 participating restaurants providing a 3 course meal for a fixed price of $20.13.
