It’s now officially Summer, the most popular time of year in Lake George! To celebrate the arrival of the Summer season, Lake George hosts their annual “Summerfest,” which occurs on the last weekend in June (just before 4th of July weekend). Summerfest, also considered a jump start into the Summer season by many, is a wonderful weekend that welcomes everyone to come visit, walk around, relax, and just enjoy beautiful Lake George Village. In addition to the shops, restaurants & attractions that will be open, the public will be pleased to find the spectacular Arts & Crafts Show in Shepard Park, Music in the Amphitheater, and Sidewalk Sales – all happening during the Lake George Summerfest… and all thanks to the Lake George Volunteer Fire Department who sponsors the event.
For the 2011 year, Lake George Summerfest will be taking place Friday, Saturday & Sunday, June 24-26, 2011. There will be several bands entertaining in Shepard Park’s amphitheater throughout the weekend: Friday – “Tequila Mockingbirds” (1-4PM), Saturday – “The Rodeo Barons” (1-4PM), Sunday – “Steven L Smith Band” (1-4PM). The hours for the annual “Arts & Crafts Show,” also taking place in Shepard Park, will be 9AM-6PM. Don’t forget to stroll around the village and check out the Sidewalk Sales, the whole family will enjoy it! Have fun!
