Bolton Landing offers so much as a vacation destination. We are located about 10 miles from Lake George Village – just follow beautiful Lake Shore Drive, which runs right along the lake, to Bolton Landing.
Nearly all the islands on Lake George are located within the boundaries of Bolton. Visit our marinas to rent a boat or launch your own. Our area provides a wonderful opportunity for sailing, fishing, swimming, boating, scuba diving, parasailing and other water sports. Lake George fishing is an angler’s delight in all four seasons. People enjoy catching large and small mouth bass, lake trout, salmon, perch, northern pike, and pickerel. The islands also offer a unique setting for camping or picnicking.
Accommodations in Bolton Landing include family resorts, upscale resorts, bed and breakfasts, motels, and camping on the islands.
Our two public parks, located directly on the lake, include beaches, playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball and boat docking. Our summer entertainment schedule includes free concerts and movies at Rogers Park.
Up Yonda Farm is a 73-acre nature facility providing natural history exhibits, gardens, nature programs for children and adults throughout the year, and hiking trails that offer a spectacular view of the lake, islands and surrounding mountain peaks.
There are many hiking opportunities in and around Bolton Landing, including trails at Tongue Mountain, Cat Mountain and Thomas Mountain.
We are also home to the Marcella Sembrich Opera Museum, open June – September, which hosts concerts throughout the summer season with pianists and singers from around the world. The Museum dedicates its existence to honor the internationally renowned soprano, Marcella Sembrich. Her former teaching studio is a museum displaying her personal effects reflecting her career and life of teaching.
The Bolton Landing Historical Museum features a wonderful collection of photographs, memorabilia and artifacts, packed with exhibits from the area on the early history, people, hotels, boats, home furnishings, camping, tools, ice harvesting and more.
Culinary options in Bolton Landing include everything from homemade salads and sandwiches in our delis, a quick slice of pizza or casual family dining to a dining experience that rivals some of the world’s finest restaurants.
