Originally the home of financier Spencer Trask, the palatial 400-acre estate now offers residencies to professional creative artists working in one or more of the following media: choreography, film, literature, musical composition, painting, performance art, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and video. Enjoy the famous nearly 100-year-old Yaddo Rose Garden with statuary and ponds. The gray stone Victorian style mansion is off limits to the public, but the gardens are open daily (weather permitting), 8AM – Dusk daily, year-round. Docent-led guided garden tours available seasonally.
