Grant Cottage State Historic Site

Visit the cottage where, in 1885, Ulysses S. Grant spent the last weeks of his life completing his memoirs. View the original furnishings and decorations, Grant’s personal items, as well as the spectacular views from his Eastern Outlook of the Hudson Valley, from the Adirondacks (north), Green Mountains of Vermont (east) and the Catskills (south).

Open Wednesday – Sunday 10AM-4PM (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day) and Saturdays and Sundays only (Labor Day through Columbus Day). Please Note: The Cottage is on the grounds of the Mount McGregor Correctional Facility – must first stop at access post and check-in (with a license).
