Autumn events in the Lake George region offer something for everyone! Autumn in the Lake George region is a time to be savored, with all types of annual festivals and events designed to celebrate this spectacular time of year:

World’s Largest Garage Sale in Warrensburg – You will find hundreds of vendors selling antiques & collectibles, as well as hand made crafts and food to locals and visitors town-wide in Warrensburg NY (only 5 miles north of Lake George. You’ll find that some garage sale enthusiasts will set up their booths & tables even earlier than Saturday and that many garage sales spill over into the surrounding Lake George Regions too!

Adirondack Balloon Festival – Since the 1970’s, the Adirondack Balloon Festival has delighted visitors. Free of charge, this spectacular aerial event draws 150,000 people annually to watch the “gentle giants” fill the air. An amazing weekend of ballooning, food, crafts and fun.

Pumpernickels’ Oktoberfest – enjoy an authentic German Oktoberfest right here in the Lake George Region at Pumpernickel’s German Restaurant in Bolton Landing. This annual event features authentic German food, German bands, music, and Polka, as well as beer and drinks.

Fall Festival at Adirondack Museum – partake in some family fall fun: wagon rides, pony rides, pumpkin painting, cider pressing, cider samples, Fall arts & crafts, live music, camp songs, and more!

Heritage Harvest & Horse Festival at Fort Ticonderoga – if you’re in the mood for food, animals & fun, you’ll enjoy Fort Ti’s fully-packed autumn day featuring food, corn maze, plant sale, harvest market (with perennials, fruits, vegetables, pumpkins & jams), horticulture expert presentations, farm stands from local Adirondack & Vermont farms (selling pumpkins, dried herbs, dip mixes, apples, baked goods & cheeses), as well as equestrian sports demonstrations, working horses presentations and the opportunity to meet some farm horses on Saturday (Sept. 29) 9:30AM-5PM.

Cemetery Tour – Fun and history combine when the Chapman Historical Museum presents this annual event featuring the Glens Fall Community Theatre portraying people of the past with connections to the town’s history at the Glens Falls Cemetery on Bay Road. Oktoberfest Luncheon Cruise – for a little bit of sightseeing & eating, board the Lake George Steamboat Company’s Lac Du Saint Sacrement for a delicious German feast and a 2 hour cruise on beautiful Lake George – Saturday (Sept. 29) 12-2PM.

Gore Mountain Leaf Cruncher – The Gore Mountain Leaf Cruncher is the perfect opportunity for fun and exercise, featuring a challenging 5K trail run. All participants can treasure hunt for prizes on-course, as well as be “in the running” for great raffles including Barkeater’s locally crafted treats.  Easy parking and great value in this fall 5K!

Taste of the North Country – make sure to bring your appetite to the 30th Annual Taste of the North Country, a popular food festival featuring the area’s best restaurants (with entertainment too) in Downtown Glens Fall’s City Park on Sunday (Sept. 30) 11AM-3PM.
