Adirondack Adventure Festival & White Water Derby

Enjoy Adirondack family fun outdoor adventures, activities and entertainment at the 2nd Annual Adirondack Adventure Festival in North Creek, NY (The Gore Mountain Region) May 6-8, 2011! Really see and experience what the beautiful North Country has to offer during this exciting Spring weekend, sponsored by The Gore Mountain Regional Chamber of Commerce. Festival events are aplenty, so there will be something for everyone – including hiking (Rabbit Pond Hike & New Paul Schaefer Trail Hike), kayak demos, bike races (50 Mile Bike Ride, 20 Mile Bike Ride & 15 Mile Mountain Bike Ride), The Wild Center/Adirondack Wildlife Exhibit, fly fishing demos, craft fair, free rafting on the Hudson River, educational programs, GPS demo, ham dinner, pork roast dinner, Warren County Fish Hatchery programs, North Country Wild Care – Birds of Prey program, North Creek Depot Museum, movie night (Adventure Sports Film Festival sponsored by The Indian Lake Theater), live music, Downtown dining, shopping, and of course the 54th Annual White Water Derby! This Hudson River White Water Derby has been a “nationally known canoe competition” since 1958. This year’s derby schedule includes a Slalom Race on North River & Awards Ceremony (Friday, May 7), as well as a Downriver Race on the Hudson River & Awards Ceremony (Saturday, May 8).
