The Lake George Dinner Theatre has garnered unanimous rave reviews from critics for, The Love List, running July 12 through October 20, 2012 at the Holiday Inn Resort in Lake George, NY.
The Daily Gazette calls The Love List “A top-notch production…this theatre package will satisfy all of your appetites” and the Times Union agrees that it’s “…very funny….” Saratoga’s new online news outlet SaratogaWire.com calls the show “… a roller coaster ride of hilarity” and TheFreeGeorge.com says that it’s “…witty and highly engaging…incredibly funny…fresh and lively with equal parts farce and controlled humor….” Berkshires On Stage adds “Rachel Cornish…had the audience roaring….She’s really fun to watch.” Said LGDT Producer Terry Rabine, “We’re thrilled by the response of local media and our audiences, some of whom have been back to see the show a second time this season. We look forward to a very successful run into the post-Labor Day weeks ahead when most other summer theatres are winding down their seasons and audiences are looking for unique theatre entertainment.”
LGDT holds the unique distinction as the most intimate professional dinner theatre in America and is one of only a dozen professional dinner theatres still in operation nationally. Celebrating it’s 45th season in 2012, it’s also one of the longest running theatre operations in the region and has been called “a benchmark of excellence by which to judge the quality of dinner theaters.” In The Love List, romance is mixed with mysticism when Bill fills out a gypsy’s matchmaking questionnaire of the ten qualities he’d like to find in a female companion. When a mysterious woman who possesses all of those qualities arrives at his door, Bill is thrown into a riotous situation and learns that the old adage “be careful what you wish for” is especially true when it comes to affairs of the heart.
