    Many people come to Lake George, NY to engage in all manner of outdoor sport: hiking, boating, tubing, parasailing, swimming, etc. However, there is also a big draw for many to the exciting indoor sport of shopping! All jokes aside, Lake George has a lot to offer in the way of shopping.  The village is full of distinctive clothing and gift shops,  and nestled in between exit 20 and 21 of the Northway on Route 9, is a stretch of designer outlets.  So do yourself a favor, pack light. You are going to want to have  room to bring home your great shopping finds from Lake George!

    Hammock Weather

    June is finally here, and she brought some beautiful hammock weather to Lake George, NY! We hope you found a few hours to relax, snooze or read in a hammock this weekend. But just to remind you, there are a lot of fair weather activities in and around Lake George to keep you from getting bored of the hammock life. This is a beautiful time of year to eat outdoors, as many restaurants have outdoor decks with gorgeous views and sunshine. It is also a great time of year to play golf, listen to live entertainment, enjoy a boat cruise on the lake, or walk along Canada Street to shop.     History Abounds in Lake George

    History abounds in Lake George as spring shyly shows her face once more. How many blankets of snow have fallen on the battlefields nearby since blood soaked into the earth and musket shots rang out? We may not have the answer to that question, but there are many interesting and interactive events this spring in the Lake George/Saratoga area that bring history alive! Visit our local Forts where battles occurred, and Museums that hold artifacts, treasures and information on local History.     Spring Break and Easter Baskets

    Locals are starting to enjoy the first signs of spring as they slowly emerge in and around Lake George, NY. 2014 has been a long and snowy winter, and it is fun to see the little streams of melting snow appear and the sun bringing warmth.
