Experience the history of the Adirondacks in one great “Outdoor Museum.” Called “The Smithsonian of the Adirondacks” by National Geographic Traveler, and “The Best of its kind in the world” by the New York Times, the museum is spread across 32 acres overlooking Blue Mountain Lake with 22 buildings and historic structures. A changing variety of events, hands-on family activities and exhibits tell the story of the Adirondacks from the mid-1800’s to the present. Museum store and Lake View Café.
