• Earth Week 2011

    In celebration of EARTH DAY (which officially is on Friday, April 22, 2011), there are a variety of area events, activities and programs scheduled throughout this week (April 16-23) – otherwise known as EARTH WEEK!

    Kids and Adults will enjoy the following events that are happening in the region: Recycled Art Show, Earth Day Family Festival, Electronic Recycling Day, ECO Day, Carbon Footprints Exhibit, as well as other activities, demonstrations, cleanups, talks, and more. Have fun!

    April 16-17      Recycled Art Show

    -Part of the environmental programs and events given by the Saratoga National Historical Park and Hudson Crossing Park.

    -It’s cleanup day at the Hudson Crossing Park’s Play Garden

    -Take a self-guided journey that will bring you closer to nature; and learn about the importance of Earth Day!

    April 22      Electronics Recycling Day

    -Safely dispose your copiers, televisions, computers, monitors, printers, fax machines, DVD players, video game systems and more (no batteries!) Cost is $0.35 per lb. Visit website for more information.

    April 23      Earth Day Cleanup – with the Lake George Land Conservancy

    -Help the Lake George Land Conservancy restore a beautiful 37 acre preserve (Loines Preserve) that needs roadside litter cleanup and removal of fishing related debris. Please register.
