Dr. Morbid's Haunted House

Recently, during attempted renovations to Morbid Mansion, workers discovered a secret passageway leading to the ruins of an old abandoned waxworks. Dr. Willy S. Morbid, the proprietor of Morbid Mansion, and known to locals as the Mad Waxmaker, is said to have used bizarre methods when filling his wax-works with statues. Fort Ticonderoga

World-renowned 18th Century stone fort built by the French in 1755 overlooking Lake Champlain in New York. The Fort was the site of major battles in the French and Indian War and is the site of the first victory of the American Revolution. Fort William Henry Museum & Restoration

Over 200 years ago, the Fortress was built by British order to defend the colonies from an anticipated French advance. Surviving two brutal years of French and Indian attacks, the Fort was finally destroyed in 1757. The Fortress has been faithfully restored and once again stands proudly overlooking Lake George. The Museum is open daily and guided tours are conducted hourly. British redcoats show live demonstrations of cannon and musket firing, grenade tossing and musket ball molding. Located in the Fort, the Sutler Shoppe features unique gifts and memorabilia. Also at the Fort we have THE SPIRITS OF HISTORY GHOST TOURS - with 300+ years of history, there are bound to be some ghost stories! The guided tour of ghostly places is offered weekends (Memorial Day – October 13th) and nightly (July 4th– Labor Day). Tours begin at 7:00PM. Lanterns will be provided and tours run rain or shine. Last of the Mohicans Outdoor Drama

A new and exciting outdoor historical drama premieres in Lake George this summer.  Adapted from James Fenimore Cooper's classic American novel, this new theater adaptation has been written specifically to be performed in the Lake George Region. Set against the backdrop of the siege of Fort William Henry in August of 1757, The Last of the Mohicans blends historical fact and romantic fiction to create an exciting tale that has been popular for nearly 200 years.
