    Come and enjoy the exciting August summer festivals in the greater Lake George Region. These annual festivals are full of family fun activities for all ages: Stony Creek Mountain Days Festival (Aug. 2-4, 2013), Rural Heritage Festival & Youth Fair (Aug. 10, 2013), Firemen’s Family Festival with Huge Arts & Crafts Show (Aug. 13-18, 2013), Upper Hudson Bluegrass Festival (Aug. 16-18, 2013), and the Lake George Music Festival (Aug. 16-22, 2013).

    Stony Creek Mountain Days Festival – During this Bicentennial Celebration on the first weekend of August (Aug. 2-4, 2013), partake in an authentic Adirondack themed event featuring a variety of vendor displays, food, town-wide garage sale, an all day encampment, colonial cooking demonstrations, fun activities for the kids, and great live music by local Adirondack musicians including the “Stony Creek Band,” “The Woedoggies,” “Stillhouse Rounders,” and “Big Medicine.” The festival takes place at Green Meadows Park in Stony Creek.     Rural Heritage Festival & Youth Fair – Experience and explore the rural traditions of Warren County during this Bicentennial event (August 10, 2013) from 9AM to 5PM at the Warren County Fairgrounds in Warrensburg. Family activities include a country auction, live music by “Hodie Ovitt and the Warren County Ramblers,” 19th century games, square dancing, food vendors, a chicken BBQ, re-enactors, a variety of demonstrations and displays, Youth Talent Competition, contests, and more.     Firemen’s Family Festival and Arts & Crafts Show – It’s the 40th annual free family fun multi day event (Aug. 13-18, 2013) featuring Las Vegas games, children’s games & activities, carnival food and live music all happening in Shepard Park, Lake George Village. Festival times: 7-10PM Tues. – Fri., and 12 Noon-10PM Sat., & Sun. No Las Vegas Games on Sunday. Also, on Wednesday “Buckwheat Zydeco” will be performing in the amphitheater at 7:30PM, a fireworks display on Thursday at 9:30PM, and a huge arts & crafts show with over 100 North Country Craftsmen Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 9AM to 6PM will round out the events. Proceeds to benefit the Lake George Volunteer Fire Department.

    Upper Hudson Bluegrass Festival – This three day 10th annual music festival features bands and musicians playing bluegrass and country music (Aug. 16-18, 2013) at the Ski Bowl Park in North Creek. Many Adirondack musicians and bands performing include: “Washington County Line,” “Beartracks,” “Seth Sawyer Band,” “Smokey Greene,” and more.     Lake George Music Festival – 3rd annual week long festival of classical music featuring professional and rising young musicians from around the globe, performing at various locations in and around Lake George (Aug. 16-22, 2013), including Sacred Heart Church, St. James Episcopal Church, Caldwell Presbyterian Church and the finale at Shepard Park.
