    Enjoy free family entertainment during the Lake George Community Band Festival at Shepard Park in Lake George Village. During this annual festival event, thirteen community concert bands & ensemble bands from Northeastern United States & Canada will be performing American band music including orchestral works, classic marches & patriotic songs. The Lake George Community Band hosts this festival event and is the final performer. The other participating bands are from: Hartford NY, Canton/Collinsville CT, Baldwinsville NY, Simsbury CT, Dorval Quebec (Canada), Plainville CT, Middletown CT, Pittsfield MA, Honeoye Falls NY, Rutland VT, Ballston Spa NY, and Ottawa Ontario (Canada).

    For 2011, the Lake George Community Band Festival is happening Friday, July 15 (6-9:30PM) and Saturday July 16, 2011 (11AM-9:30PM) at the Amphitheater in Shepard Park. In the event of rain, the festival venue will be taking place at the Lake George High School on Canada Street. The Lake George Community Band will be performing on Saturday evening at approximately 8PM; and will also be performing on Thursday, July 14, 2011 in Shepard Park during their Summer Concert Series.
